Welcome to
Nanomagnetism Group

Welcome to the homepage of Nanomagnetism Group, NIT Nagaland. We focus primarily on the study of novel magnetic behaviors of materials at nano regime, to improve the understanding in biomedical and technological applications. We are trying to understand the core mechanism of self-heating properties of magnetic materials for its application in magnetic hyperthermia, both theoretically and experimentally. We research the multifunctional nanocomposites showing simulateneous magnetic and optical properties for its use in biomedical applications. Our goal is to dive deep into finding the physics behind magnetic semiconductors and their potential application in spintronics based devices. Our group also explores the non-rare earth based materials for efficient permanent magnets.

Thank you for visiting us.
