Department Activities

Department of Science & Humanities strives for qualitative improvement in core theme of basic science and actively involved in research and development activities in various field. The basic activities of faculties in the department primarily involve imparting quality education to the undergraduate and post-graduate students through effective class room teaching and through off classroom counselling. A Good number of undergraduate students are exploiting this opportunity and are involved in research and development activities too under supervision of department faculties. Additionally, department always emphasizes on delivering the best to the local student community and society as well as a part of social obligation and responsibilities. A few of important department activities are highlighted below:

  • Organizes weekly seminar
  • A session on “Importance of Mathematical Knowledge for Career Growth of Engineering Students” was organized on 28th August 2016. In that, Prof. T.N. Sanmugam (Visiting Faculty NIT Nagaland) has delivered a lecture. Students from Science and Humanities Department participated in it.
  • Dr. Pradosh Prasad Chakrabarti, Principal Scientist, CSIR-Indian Institute of Chemical Technology, Hyderabad, has delivered a lecture on “Biodisel: Problems & Prospects”. This was specially arranged for undergraduate students.
  • Organized one international conference ICETNMST 2017, in the academic year 2016-17
