The Department of Electronics and Communication engineering of NIT Nagaland is uniquely equipped, and obliged to educate the leaders the world needs now. It is one of the three major branches offering B.Tech and Ph.D courses to top rank holders from India. The department is well equipped with Basic Electronics Lab, Digital Lab, Analog Lab, Communication Lab, VLSI lab, Embedded Systems Lab, Microprocessor and Microcontroller Lab and have excellent teaching staffs to nurture the innovative minds. Our vision is to lay the groundwork in shaping the future in the fields of Electronics and Communication Engineering and serve the nation by providing excellent technical education and in conducting high quality fundamental and applied research.

The vision of Electronics and Communication Engineering Department is to train the students to have in-depth knowledge of the subjects in the field of Electronics and Communication Engineering thereby making them to develop confidence for challenges in the industry as well as R & D activities.
To create a unique learning environment equipped to face different challenges in industry and research areas related to Electronics and Communication Engineering. To help the students to develop the skills to solve the complex technological problems of modern society.
